The Hilariously False Faith Of Notre Dame Fans

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 7-0 this season, and they head into a huge battle against Oklahoma in Norman Saturday night. Through this current streak Notre Dame has managed to rank 77th in scoring, and 100th in passing offense.

The part that becomes hilarious is, if you listen to Notre Dame fans in forums and groups, you would think this is the most dominant team in College Football. They talk as if beating Oklahoma is just a foregone conclusion.

The reality is most serious fans with no ties to Homerism realize that the Irish have a snowballs chance in hell of winning this game. The Sooners debuted as a 10 point favorite, and that's an easy pick in my mind.

Bob Stoops has amassed a 77-3 home record, and the Sooners come in one of the hottest teams in the country. The Sooners come in 5th in scoring and 12th in PA. That's right, the Sooner defense is no slouch either, and that does not make it easy for a 77th ranked offense. The Irish fans have to realize, if you want to compete with OU in Norman, you have to possess some type of offense.

We will see which offense can exploit these solid defenses. In my opinion that answer is very easy, and it's my Pick Of The Week.

Oklahoma -10

NCAA College Football Picks Oct.20th 2012

 South Carolina @ Florida

This is going to be a great week to be a handicapper. We have tons of games picked I know are money, and I fully expect this to be my best week this season.

I have already posted two games over on my YouTube Channel so make sure you subscribe and check us out every week for NCAA and NFL Picks.

My first pick this week here on Break From The Huddle is going to be in the SEC. South Carolina travels to Gainesville to face the Gators looking pretty banged up.

I expect The Swamp to be rocking and the Gators to control the Time Of Possession. The Gators will be aggressive on defense greeting Connor Shaw in the backfield all day.

This should be a great game, but in the end I like the Gators swallowing three points. South Carolina is a solid team but have some key elements not there at the moment.

Florida -3

Alabama @ Tennessee

I'm going to stay in the SEC with my bonus pick this week here on Break From The Huddle. Knoxville, Tennessee will be rocking on Saturday as the Vols welcome the #1 team in the country, Alabama.

This is a game that is going to shock some people, and I expect the Vols to give Bama all they can handle.

The spread has Alabama a 20 point favorite a week before playing unbeaten Miss.St, and two weeks before playing LSU. This makes it a very dangerous week for the Tide.

The Vols have nothing to lose, and a Head Coach who is on the hot seat. I look for the Vols to stretch the field early attacking that Bama secondary. I think the Tide will pull it out, but not by 20 points.

Tennessee +20

NCAA College Football Pick: 10/18/2012

I am back on this Thursday night October 18th with a Free Pick for a good night of Football. I love Arizona State +10.5 in this game. The Sun Devils have the home field and have a record of 5-0-1 ATS this season. The Ducks on the other hand are actually 2-4 ATS and this is by far the toughest game they have played this season. This is a great play to start the week.

Arizona State +10.5

NCAA College Football BCS Top 5 Breakdown

Well the new BCS Poll is out, and they got this on the money. Its no surprise that Alabama sits at #1. The Tide have absolutely destroyed the competition thus far, and whether at home or on the road its been Roll Tide all year. The BCS put Florida #2 which shocked many people, but this is the correct call. The Gators have quality wins over LSU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. The wins against Texas A&M and Tennessee were both on the road. The Gators play South Carolina this week and it should be awesome. Oregon being ranked #3 is also a correct call made by the BCS. The Ducks have looked dominate, but not really playing the toughest schedule as of yet. They still have to face Arizona State, USC, Stanford, and Oregon State, so we will see how good they are in the second half of the season. Kansas State is sitting pretty at #4 and are very deserving of that spot. The Wildcats hold a huge victory over Oklahoma who might be playing as well as any team in the country. The Wildcats have a tough task against West Virginia, who's defense finally proved to be the downfall against Texas Tech. Notre Dame sits at #5 holding quality wins over Michigan, Michigan State, and Stanford. The Irish are as solid as any on the defensive side of the ball, but the offense is a big concern. The Irish average 27 points per game, but have not scored more than 20 against quality teams. The Irish play Oklahoma in a couple weeks, and if the Irish can't score some points in that game, it will get very ugly. This rounds out my take on the first week of BCS Top Five Rankings. I will be back a few times this week including my Free Handicapping Picks for this weekend.

NFL Picks Of The Week: October 14, 2012

Indianapolis Colts vs NY Jets

I am here with the Sunday Picks of the week after going 2-0 on College Free Picks yesterday. I like a few games and my lock is easily the Jets facing off with the Colts swallowing 3 points. The Colts are prime for a let down and the Jets are hungry.

NY Jets -3.5

Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns

The Browns are looking terrible on defense, and the Daulton to Green combo is incredible. I think Green will torch the Browns all day long. I even look for The Law Firm to go over 100 yards. I love the Bengals swallowing points in this one as well.

Cincinnati Bengals -3

Free Picks Of The Week: College Football

 Navy @ Central Michigan

I have been away for awhile, but I am back, and will be on regularly from here out. We still have a ton of Football, and the NBA season is on the horizon. I look for the Heat and Lakers in the Finals by the way. I will get into that next week, but for now I am going to give away some FREE BONUS PICKS since I have been away. I am going to start tonight I see Central Michigan facing a Navy team that is not very good. Both teams have records of 2-3 but Central Michigan is a better team. The line is low enough so I would swallow the points in this case.

Central Michigan -1.5

Texas @ Oklahoma

I am going to give away two Saturday Picks this week, and I am going to start with Texas visiting Oklahoma. The Red River Shootout is always a big game, and expect this to be no different. The Longhorns come off a disappointing loss to West Virginia last week, while the Sooners blasted Texas Tech. I swallowed the 6 points in that game, and I am going to take the 3.5 this week also. I think the Sooners know they are still the favorite to win the Big 12, and they will play like it the rest of the season.

Oklahoma -3.5

Florida @ Vanderbilt

I guess swallowing the points will be the trend for me in these Free Picks. I love Florida against Vandy this week in Nashville. The Gators will have no let down following their big win against LSU, and they will not look ahead to South Carolina next week. I truly believe this team is focused and seem to get better every week. I expect to see Florida take this by at least 3 touchdowns.

Florida -8.5

Pick Of The Week Michigan vs Notre Dame 9/22/12

This game is always fun and close. Michigan has won the last 3 meetings by four points per game. Denard Robinson absolutely kills Notre Dame posting 948 total yards in the last two meetings. I expect this one to be no different, and I expect Michigan to come out on top. This game is exactly what the Wolverines need to make people forget about the Alabama game. I wish I could forget about the Alabama game from last week. WPS! You can of course get my pick on the Rutgers vs Arkansas game by subscribing to my College Football pick package. The package is only $4.99 for the entire season. The cheapest package you will find anywhere in the game. This game you can probably get what I'm saying. Take Michigan and the points, then sit back and count your winnings.

My Projection (Michigan +6)

Pick Of The Week: Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars 9/16/12

The Texans are a great looking team, and with Shaub, Johnson, and Foster healthy, they are one of the best teams in the league. The Texans also possess an incredible defense that will terrorize Blaine Gabbert all afternoon. The Jaguars struggle at home when they are the underdog, and I expect this game to be no different. I look for the Texans to come out on fire against this Jags defense and force Gabbert to throw playing from behind. Underdogs dominate week 2, but not in this case. I love the Texans swallowing the points in this game.

My Projection- ( Houston -7 )

Pick Of The Week: Florida vs. Tennessee 9/15/12

Well I was able to recover from my disappointing week one .500 record by going 8-2 in picks last week. I went 2-0 in free picks here on this blog with Cincy over Pitt in college, and Chicago over Indy in NFL. This week my free Pick Of The Week puts Tennessee swallowing the points against SEC East rival Florida. The Vols come in with a very high octane passing attack that loves to spread the ball around in the air. I look for matchup issues with the Gators secondary against these Vols receivers, and expect it to be the deciding factor. The Gators are only undefeated thanks to two strong fourth quarter performances. The Gators defense is not bad, but have proven to be exploitable in the first two weeks. I love the Vols by 10 against the Gators at home.

My Pick- ( Tennessee -3 )

Fantasy Go To Guys: Sunday 9/9/12

This is a weekly guide to my suggested Fantasy Sleepers. These are the guys that ride your bench, but could put up some surprising points for your squad. Opening week is a tough one, but I got some pretty good tips for ya!

1. Rashad Jennings- RB Jacksonville Jaguars- I look for Jennings to see a pretty nice workload with MJD being eased back into things. He is worth the pickup for the week if your soft at your #2 RB spot.

2. Eric Decker- WR Denver Broncos- The word is Manning and Decker have already developed quite a chemistry together. Decker is a lot like Colts WR's we have seen Manning pair up with in the past, with much success.  I look for Manning to be victorious in his debut in Denver.

3. Ronnie Brown- RB San Diego Chargers- I look for Brown to get a big workload against a nice matchup in the Raiders. The shoulder injury to Matthews has ruled him out, and Brown looks to be the man. I look for Brown to have a very nice outing.

4. Jake Locker- QB Tennessee Titans- Locker will open up against a very good Patriots team, but this will be a very competitive game at home. Chris Johnson holds the key as the Titans need to control the clock against a very good Pats offense. I like the Pats to win, but Locker is a solid start.

5. Shonne Greene- RB New York Jets- The Bills will face the unpredictability of a Jets Wildcat Package on Sunday. Tebow will see some game time and keep the Bills defense guessing. This will open it up for Greene to have a nice afternoon.

Pick Of The Week: Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears 9/9/12

The real debut of Colts rookie QB Andrew Luck will be a tough one Sunday. Luck will face a tough Bears defense who will bring the heat on Luck all afternoon. I expect to see luck flushed out and going to the dirt often. The Bears much improved offense will also be on display, and I expect to see Cutler and Marshall put up some nice Fantasy stats. If you have Cutler, Marshall, Bush, or Forte, they are safe bets on your Fantasy squad. I think the Bears will be too much this afternoon for Indy. Last week I struggled to get at .500, but since Monday for new Facebook Fans I have hit Georgia Tech +7, Cincinnati -3.5( Free Pick On This Page), Cowboys +4, and Utah State +7. I expect to keep the streak going through tomorrow.

My Projection- Chicago -9

2012 AFC South Preview

The AFC South is a very young division. The division includes the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Tennessee Titans, which are all teams in the process of building. The Houston Texas will have no competition in this division this season. The Titans will be the next best thing, and I actually love Jake Locker as a Fantasy sleeper. The Titans will have a refocused Chris Johnson, and some new weapons the Titans have put in place. It should be a very fun conference to watch in 2012.

1.Houston Texans- The Texans have built quite a football team down in the Lone Star State. If the Texans can stay healthy they will be a legitimate contender to win it all. They are loaded on defense with one of the best defensive cords calling the shot shots. Phillips will have is squad ready to go for 2012. The offense is where the injury issues dwell, especially Matt Shaub, Owen Daniels, and Andre Johnson. They have the best RB in the game with Arian Foster, but he has even become known for getting nicked up. The Texans just have too much in the end.
2012 Projection- (10-6)

2. Tennessee Titans- The Titans should be an exciting young team to watch this season. I love Jake Locker as a sleeper at QB this season. I even have him starting in week 1 against New England at home. Chris Johnson should regroup after a very disappointing campaign is 2011. I also look for this young receiving core, and TE Jared Cook to really have breakout seasons. The defense has had some very promising moments in the preseason, and if they continue to play like they have, the Titans could be very surprising team.
2012 Projection- (8-8)

3. Indianapolis Colts- The Colts have been a big offseason topic due to the drafting of Andrew Luck with the #1 pick. You can't seem to o anywhere without someone asking, Luck or RG3? The fact is both are going to be very successful in the NFL over the next decade. The Colts have the reliable Reggie Wayne and Austin Collie for Luck to target. I also feel Donald Brown will be a big sleeper in the backfield. I look for Brown to go over a 1000 yds with 10 TD's in 2012. The Colts on defense have the same guys such as Freeney and Mathis, but they are getting older. I like the direction in Indy, but this year will be tough.
2012 Projection- (5-11)

4. Jacksonville Jaguars- The Jags just don't have enough of anything. The receiving core is improved with the addition of Justin Blackmon, but he can't do it alone. Blaine Gabbert has also proved nothing to me, and I expect this season to be the same. Maurice Jones Drew is of course the leader of this team, and his holdout has set him back to start the season. The defense really has nothing that impressive to speak of, but I look for some slight improvement on this side of the ball.
2012 Projection- (3-13)

2012 AFC North Preview

This is hands down my favorite division in the NFL. The Ravens, Steelers, and  Bengals will all be very solid teams, and the defenses in this division are awesome. I even think the Browns will be much more competitive this season. I don't think the Browns record will reflect it in the end. The Browns will be in the cellar around 4-12, but look for the games to be close. We are just days away from the NFL opening weekend, and 3 of these teams are featured in primetime on Sunday & Monday night. The Broncos play the Steelers Sunday night, and Ravens vs Bengals on Monday night.

1. Baltimore Ravens- It will be business as usual for the Ravens in 2012. The team is getting a little older, but they still have tons of talent. The defense goes without saying every year in Baltimore. This year that defense will once again be the key, but they will enjoy an improving offense. The Ravens have built a decent offense through the drafting of Ray Rice, Joe Flacco, and Torrey Smith, and they are beginning to look like a solid unit. Expect another big season for you Raven fans.
2012 Projection- (12-4)

2. Cincinnati Bengals- This may come as a shock to Pittsburgh fans, but I believe the Bengals will take the number 2 spot in the AFC North this season. The Bengals have a nice combo brewing at QB and WR with Daulton and Green. The addition of the Law Firm to the backfield could pay off nicely as well. The defense was good last year, and I expect the same this season. Fantasy players should also look for Jermaine Gresham at TE.
2012 Projection- (10-6)

3. Pittsburgh Steelers- The Steelers are getting old, and that's the reason I have them in this spot. You combine the age issue with the inconsistent RB situation, and you have to feel its rebuilding time. Pittsburgh will still be a decent club, but have been passed by Cincy. I look for the Steelers to go down Sunday night against Denver and finish .500.
2012 Projection (8-8)

4. Cleveland Browns- The Browns have had it rough lately and expect the same. The Browns have begun moving in the right direction, but they are very young on offense. I look for Colt McCoy to be the starting QB by week 5. Trent Richardson will be expected to carry quite a load in the backfield when he becomes healthy. The defense will struggle in Cleveland and the team must work on key components on this side of the ball as well. They have some players on defense, but not enough. They will play closer games, and probably pull a couple of upsets, but will finish in the cellar.
2012 Projection- (4-12)

Pick Of The Week: Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati 9/6/12

The Bearcats are coming off another very impressive season in 2011. The Panthers will be an improved team in 2012, but I don't expect an upset in Cincy. Cincy escaped with a 3 point victory last year in Pittsburgh resulting in a push. I look for Jameel Poteat to have a breakout season, and the Bearcats to be a legitimate contender in the Big East. I like the Bearcats by double digits. My apologies for not getting to the Dallas vs Giants game as I have been a little under the weather. I can't wait for this weekend and some redemption.

My Projection- (Cincy-3.5)

2012 AFC West Preview

The AFC should be a very entertaining conference this season. The Patriots will be in the discussion as always, but some newer faces will be around after that. The AFC North is hands down the best division in the NFL. The Steelers in that division are getting older, and the Bengals are emerging with some great young talent. The Ravens of course will be good as always, and I actually think they will win the division. The AFC West will also be a very interesting division as well with Peyton Manning making his return as a Denver Bronco. It should be a great season and I'm going to kick it of with the West.

1. Denver Broncos- Peyton Manning makes his debut in Denver, and expect it to be business as usual. Manning has a pair of very good receivers in Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas. The question mark will be Willis McGahee who is not getting any younger according to RB years. I look for the Broncos to work Ronnie Hillman in as a nice spell for McGahee. I also love Hillman as a deep sleeper in Fantasy. The defense finished 2011 looking great as they helped the Broncos to the 2nd round of the playoffs. I expect more of the same in 2012 with a much better offense.
2012 Projection-( 10-6)

2. San Diego Chargers- The Chargers lost Mike Tolbert to Carolina this offeason, which makes it the Ryan Matthews show out west. The only question will be if the injury ridden RB can play even half of the season. I am not going to bank on it. The receiving core is also short Vincent Jackson who plays in Tampa. The Bolts did add Robert Meacham, but I still expect a drop in production. The defense is not as good as years past either, and I think they will have difficulty stopping anyone. The offenses in this division should all be pretty good.
2012 Projection- (9-7)

3. Oakland Raiders- Carson Palmer  would have thrown for over 4400 yards in 2011, had he played the entire season. He seems to have found an emerging target in Darrius Heyward Bey. He will also have a healthy Darren McFadden playing in a contract year. If Run Dmc can stay healthy it should be a huge year. The Raiders are still exploitable on defense, just like the rest of the division. The best defenses in the West are actually Denver and Kansas City. The Chiefs just don't have enough offense to get out of the cellar.
2012 Projection- (8-8)

4. Kansas City Chiefs- The Chiefs will be competitive in the West , but I'm always sketchy on the teams offense. Jamal Charles returns from a brutal knee injury, and Peyton Hillis is a injury waiting to happen. Matt Cassel also returns after breaking his hand in weak 10 of 2011. I look for Cassel to keep it short most of the season, and rely on his running game to get him through. The defense is pretty solid especially in the secondary. They have a defense that will keep them close. They just really need the offense to step up.
2012 Projection- (6-10)

Rough First Week!

Well the first week of College Football is over, and I had a really tough first week. I went 0-3 in free picks, and 5-5 in packaged picks. This gave me a total record of 5-5, barely getting to five hundred. My losing picks included South Carolina, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Michigan, and Rice. My winning picks were BYU, West Virginia, Tennessee, Tennessee over, and Buffalo. I am never happy being middle of the pack, so I can't wait for next week. I will be back with my pick for the NFL opener Wednesday. I will also have my AFC Preview for 2012 starting tomorrow.

Pick Of The Week: Oklahoma vs UTEP 9/1/12

This game is a mismatch waiting to happen. Oklahoma is loaded and Landry Jones will be in mid-season form when they play UTEP Saturday night. Jones will often look to target Kenny Stills at wideout, while enjoying great protection from a very good offensive line. The Miners QB Nick Lamaison will probably spend most of the night under pressure. The Miners will need to generate a pass rush against Landry Jones or be in for a long night. I expect the Sooners to just absolutely dominate on the road in this one.

My Projection- (Oklahoma -32)

Friday, August 31, 2012

Pick Of The Week: Boise State vs Michigan State 8/31/12

I started out my handicapping season with a loss for the first time in five years last night. I do believe that if Connor Shaw does not get injured, the Gamecocks would have covered. That being said I don't like to make excuses, and I plan to regroup tonight. Boise State is completely depleted on both sides of the ball. The Michigan State offense is also young, but the MSU defense is very solid. Isaiah Lewis is one of the best secondary players in the country, and he will be an absolute nightmare for Boise. The Broncos only hope is that the gimmick plays they are so known for can keep them close. I believe the MSU defense will create turnovers, and the Spartans offense will be productive enough to pull out a win. I look for the Spartans by at least 20 in this game.

My Projection- ( Michigan State-7)

Thursday, August 30, 2012

Pick Of The Week: South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt 8/30/12

NCAA Football is here and kicks off with a big SEC game tonight. Jordan Rodgers and Zac Stacy will attempt to upend Spurrier's Gamecocks in Nashville. I look for this to be a pretty good game, especially through the first half. South Carolina has a defense that loves to fly around, and an offense that actually loves to run the ball. Vanderbilt will need big production from Stacy, and mistake free football from Rodgers. The Vanderbilt defense will also have a tough night attempting to stop Marcus Lattimore. Spurrier has coached season opening Thursday night games 5 times. He is undefeated in those outings. I look for this South Carolina offense to wear down the Commodores, and put it away in the forth quarter.

My Projection- ( South Carolina -6 1/2 )

2012 NFC South Preview

The NFC South is my final NFC preview, and it's a very exciting division in its own right. We all know how much offense is produced in New Orleans, but I look for the Falcons to really explode this season. Matt Ryan is loaded up with Julio Jones and Roddy White. Ryan will also have 94 year old Tony Gonzalez back at TE. The Bucs and Panthers will bring up the rear, but will be much improved. The coaching issue for the Saints is not that big of a deal, because if you think Sean Payton is not scripting plays via text, your insane.

1. New Orleans Saints- The New Orleans fresh off the offseason bounty hunting scandal, missing Head Coach Sean Payton. I really don't see this as a big issue and believe he will still be involved. The Saints return record breaking QB Drew Brees sporting a fresh new contract. The Saints lost Robert Meacham now a Charger, but they do return Marques Colston, Lance Moore, and Darren Sproles. The Saints also display a nice committee in the backfield of Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas, and Chris Ivory. The defense is good enough to make sure this team pulls at least 12 victories.
2012 Projection- (12-4)
2. Atlanta Falcons- The Falcons are finally ready to make that deep playoff push in 2012. Julio Jones is a year older and Roddy White is still a very good receiver. I also look for Harry Douglas to make a nice push this season coming off a 500 yd. outing in 2011. Michael Turner is starting to wind down a little, so you can expect the passing game to be a bigger focus this season. Tony Gonzalez will still see targets at TE and Jaquizz Rodgers is a Fantasy Sleeper I hope you got on your team. The defense is pretty solid and added Asante Samuel at CB this offseason. Samuel paired up with Grimes is a pretty formidable duo in the secondary.
2012 Projection- (10-6)

3. Carolina Panthers- Cam Newton returns for his sophomore campaign, and of course everyone has opinions on what will happen. I believe Newton is the real deal ,and I was not a fan coming into last season. I of course scored Newton in the 11th Round of our Fantasy Draft, which will help change opinions once his stats were tallied. He still has weapons in Steve Smith and Brandon Lafell. Newton will also have a crammed backfield, and a very talented TE in Greg Olsen. The defense will be much improved, and I love rookie LB Luke Kuechly to make a big splash in 2012.
2012 Projection- (7-9)
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Josh Freeman will attempt to bring back the magic he possessed two seasons ago for the Bucs. The Buccaneers brought in Vincent Jackson, and drafted some better blocking in the backfield with Doug Martin. Martin will be the change of pace scatback for Blount, in what will be a pretty good ground game. The defense will be a question mark against the type of offenses this team will encounter in 2012. I think this young team is growing, but not quite to that next level.
2012 Projection- (5-11)

2012 NFC East Preview

The NFC East was the dominate division for many years in the NFL, but over the last few years has tapered off despite the Giants winning two Super Bowl titles. The Cowboys are arguably the best franchise in history, but I don't see a return to glory anytime soon. The excitement in this division will come from rookie Robert Griffin III and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are usually a fun team to watch and played great at the end of last season. The Redskins need to find a consistent running game as you never know about Roy Helu. This division when all said and done should be decent, but nothing spectacular.

1. New York Giants- The defending champions lost Mario Manningham and Brandon Jacobs this offseason, but look for some new talent to emerge. I like rookie RB David Wilson who will share time with vet Ahmad Bradshaw in the backfield. The Giants still have the best Manning in football, and Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz to throw it to. I would have put the Eagles in this position if not for Michael Vick and his injury issues at QB. They have the top pass rush in the league, and are fairly solid on defense as a whole. The Giants will not repeat, but they are still pretty good.
2012 Projection- (10-6)

2. Philadelphia Eagles- The Eagles are an explosive team when they are healthy. LeSean McCoy is a beast in the backfield, both rushing and receiving. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are both solid wideouts if Michael Vick can stay healthy, and actually get them the ball. The defense is always hit or miss, but the Eagles have a pretty good pass rush. They also hold tons of talent in the secondary, especially at CB with Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
2012 Projection- (9-7)

3. Dallas Cowboys- The Cowboys are a team with a lot of talent, but far too many injuries to compete a full season. Miles Austin has constant hamstring injuries, and Dez Bryant has the combination of injuries and locker room problems. Demarco Murray has been injury prone since college, Felix Jones same thing. Jason Witten is getting older, and Tony Romo has never won games when it matters. The offense is still good when they are on the field, but the defense should be the bright spot this season. The Cowboys brought in Brandon Carr and drafted Mo Claiborne to improve on a terrible secondary last season. Rob Ryan actually has something to work with now.
2012 Projection- (9-7)

4. Washington Redskins- The Redskins will be the focus of the division as everyone wants to see RG3. I believe Griffin will impress many in Washington and will have a great rookie season. RG3 has Pierre Garcon and Leonard Hankerson to look for at WR. Josh Morgan and veteran Santana Moss will also be targeted in the passing game. The RB situation is always up in the air with Mike Shanahan, and Roy Helu has not done much to help his cause staying injured. When Helu is healthy, he is the best on the team. The defense will struggle early, but will improve drastically over the second half of the season. The Skins remind me of the Seahawks from last season. They have a better QB of course!
2012 Projection- (6-10)

2012 NFC North Preview

I feel like the NFC North will be the best division this season. You know the Packers will be awesome, the Lions are the best young team out there, and Jay Cutler has weapons in Chicago. The Vikings will depend on an Adrian Peterson that may be returning to fast from a brutal injury. This all being said you never know how it may end up, but I have a pretty good idea. This will be the most explosive division in football, and probably the highest scoring.

1. Green Bay Packers- The Packers come off a spectacular season that watched them fall in the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers will be on top of his game once again surrounded by the usual suspects. Jordy Nelson had a big year, but look for teams to shut him down a little more this season. Greg Jennings also returns at WR and old ass Donald Driver will still be catching a few passes as well. The Packers added Cedric Benson to work the backfield with James Starks. If Starks ever gets healthy it could be quite a duo. The defense will be great for fashion points with Fantasy Owners, but that does not win Championships.
2012 Projection- (12-4)

2. Detroit Lions- The Lions are possibly the most exciting young team in football. Matthew Stafford has became a top tier QB as long as he is healthy. He threw for over 5,000 yards last season and has the best receiver in football to throw it to. The running game will be a big question as Jahvid Best may never see the field with his concussion issues. It is likely that Kevin Smith will carry the load and he is also injury prone. The defense is solid and boast the top young defensive player in the league Ndamukong Suh.
2012 Projection (10-6)

3. Chicago Bears- The Bears had it rough with injuries last season as they lost both Jay Cutler and Matt Forte. Caleb Hanie was god awful and Bears fans gave up hope quick, but this is a whole new season. The Bears added Michael Bush to the backfield with Forte, and brought back a familiar target for Jay Cutler in Brandon Marshall. Cutler and Marshall connected for three 1,000 yard seasons in Denver. The Bears are hoping to see that kind of production from the duo again in 2012. The defense should be a lot better since they wont spend 50 minutes per game on the field. Mike Tice will make it fun to watch Bears Football this season.
2012 Projection (9-7)

4. Minnesota Vikings-The Vikings also have some exciting young talent, especially Percy Harvin who can take it all the way at anytime. The Vikings may look to use Harvin on more running plays this season as they had very nice success in 2011. Adrian Peterson is the biggest question mark as it was just December when he tore his ACL. He says he will be ready for Week 1, but we will see if that remains the case. Christian Ponder is another year older and should show some improvement at QB. Ponder has a lot to prove being taken so high by the Vikings in the 2011 Draft. The defense has the Sack leader in Jared Allen , but that's about it on defense. The defense will have to improve especially in the secondary. That's a tough chore when you face Rodgers, Stafford, and Cutler six games per season.
2012 Projection (6-10)

2012 NFC West Preview

Just two years ago the NFC West was the complete laughing stock of the NFL, but the division is quickly on it's way back to respectability. The 49ers started the process last season as new Head Coach Jim Harbaugh led the team to a 13-3 record. The Seahawks also began playing with fire, especially in the second half of the season. The Rams dealt with injury issues all season, and the Cardinals could never find a starting QB. The Rams unloaded in this springs draft bringing in tons of talent at skill positions. St.Louis added Isaiah Pead, Brian Quick, and speedster Chris Givens from Wake Forrest, which should give a tremendous boost to a terrible offense last season. The Cards are still torn on whether they should start Kolb or Skelton at QB. I believe the Cards should just give it to Kolb and let him develop over the year. The 49ers, Seahawks, and Rams should all enjoy very respectable seasons. The Arizona Cardinals probably not so much!

1. San Francisco 49ers- I believe the Niners have too much defense to be ousted from the top of this division. They are solid all around on defense, but the offense struggled at times last year. The Niners hope they stepped it up with the additions of Randy Moss and Mario Manningham through Free Agency. The Niners also added A.J. Jenkins from Illinois at WR, and former Heisman finalist LaMichael James from Oregon. The Niners are also very solid on Special Teams.
2012 Projection- (11-5)

2. St.Louis Rams- I believe the Rams will be the surprise story of the league this season. This team was destroyed by injuries last season especially on the offensive side of the ball. I think the organization has brought in substantial help both at WR, and in the backfield. I look for Lance Kendricks to really emerge as a top tier TE in 2012, and Danny Amendola returns at WR. Bradford will also be on the lookout for rookies Brian Quick and Chris Givens to make this a very exciting young offense. I look for Givens to add excitement to the return game as well.
2012 Projection- (9-7)

3. Seattle Seahawks- The Seahawks showed major improvement over the second half of the season in 2011. The defense finished looking like a top squad and Marshawn Lynch was completely reborn in the backfield. The issue to start this season is who starts at QB? The Seahawks brought in Matt Flynn and paid him nicely, but then drafted Russell Wilson. The Preseason so far has shown Wilson to have the edge, but its not over yet. The Seahawks also added a ton of team cancer in Terrell Owens and Braylon Edwards, but those pickups could pay off.
2012 Projection- (8-8)
4. Arizona Cardinals- The Cardinals are just shaky at QB and that always spells trouble. They have talent at WR with Larry Fitzgerald and rookie Michael Floyd, but someone has to get them the ball. Beanie Wells returns after a very stellar season and Ryan Williams should return as well in the backfield. The defense is also very mediocre with the exception of Patrick Peterson.
2012 Projection- (5-11)

Fantasy Football 2012- Deep Sleepers

Well Fantasy Football drafts are in full swing and I am here to give you my list of ultra value picks. These picks are also known as Deep Sleepers and you never know what may emerge. Last season during my Fantasy draft I was able to land Cam Newton in the 10th round, and Victor Cruz in the 14th. I made the Championship Game starting both of these guys on a week to week basis as the season progressed. This just proves that a ton of talent exists in the later rounds when everyone is saying it's scraps. I have compiled a list of my Top Ten Deep Sleepers for the 2012 Fantasy Football season as listed below. The picks are listed in the order I see them.

1. Shonn Greene- New York Jets- Greene has fell considerably in Fantasy drafts due to the lack of production last season, but people have to remember he spent the 2011 campaign sharing carries with L.T. This season he will be the main attraction, and he will see tons of action as the Jets lack in the passing game. Greene is dropping between the 8th and 10th rounds.

2. Reggie Wayne- Indianapolis Colts- Wayne is getting older which is shying people away with no Manning to throw the ball. The fact is Luck has already targeted Wayne a ton through 2 Preseason games and I don't expect that to change. Wayne is still a very good receiver to have, and he is falling between the 7th and 10th rounds.

3. Justin Blackmon- Jacksonville Jaguars- Blackmon is a rookie receiver so not even being taken in most Fantasy drafts. Blackmon is a specimen and the only true target Blaine Gabbert has on a very thin Jacksonville team. He has already shined through Preseason action, and I expect a solid season from Blackmon. You can get him easily between the 12th and final rounds of your draft.

4. Lance Moore- New Orleans Saints- Moore is a true sleeper playing on one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. You can look for Moore to see more targets with the departure of Robert Meacham to San Diego. Drew Brees loves to spread the ball around and Moore holds awesome value. Moore is going between rounds 7 and 10 in most drafts.

5. Sam Bradford- St. Louis Rams- Bradford is coming off a terrible season which saw his entire team riddled by injuries. They spent most of the season with no Jackson or WR'S to help him out. Bradford himself spent considerable time on the sidelines. The Rams beefed up skill positions and I expect a nice bounce back from Bradford. He is money at your 2 or 3 QB and is sticking around until rounds 10-13 in most drafts.

6. Carson Palmer- Oakland Raiders- Palmer has had a year to get chemistry going in Oakland and was on pace for 4400 yards last season. Those yards of course were if he had played the entire season. Heyward Bey has emerged as his top threat and I expect a very nice season from Palmer. He will be there between the 7th and 9th rounds.

7. Titus Young- Detroit Lions- Titus Young will benefit a ton from double coverage on Megatron. You can look for Young to become Stafford's #2 target and be right on pace for a nice 1000 yard season. He was still there in the 12th round of our draft.

8. Michael Floyd- Arizona Cardinals- Floyd is another rookie receiver who will benefit from double coverage on Larry Fitzgerald opening him up to have a very nice first season. The QB situation in Arizona is very shaky, but whoever takes snaps will still find Floyd in single coverage situations.

9. Jacquizz Rogers-Atlanta Falcons- Rogers has incredible speed, and in a newer look Atlanta offense you can expect to see him in many formations. Rogers will also spell an aging Michael Turner leading to more opportunities to make big plays. Rogers has been going in rounds 10-13 in most drafts.

10. Kyle Rudolph- Minnesota Vikings- Rudolph is the only TE on this list, and I expect big things from him. The Vikings have a young Christian Ponder and a questionable Adrian Peterson which I think will open things up for Rudolph. I expect him and Ponder to develop a nice relationship. He will be available towards the end of your draft.

My NCAA Top 25 Preseason Poll

I have seen several preseason Top 25 polls, and I see inaccuracy in many of them. I think LSU is way overrated sitting so high in these polls. I do believe that USC is the top team in the country. I also think Alabama is the second best with Oklahoma right behind them. This is how my Top 3 shapes up, and here is the rest.

NCAA Football-SEC East Preview For 2012

This is my second NCAA Football Preview of 2012, and today I am going to cover the SEC East. The East does not get near the press of the West due to the fact the West has three Top 5 teams. The East is starting to make a comeback however, and you can expect Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida to have very solid squads in 2012. The Bulldogs look to be the cream of the crop in the East with the Gamecocks right behind them. I think the East will be a very competitive division with a couple of possible surprises. The Gators look great on defense, but they have some issues at QB. The East also welcomes a new team in the Missouri Tigers fresh out of the Big 12. I expect the Tigers to see better results that A&M in the West, but they will still struggle. I will be back tomorrow with my NCAA Top 25 Poll Reveal. I have included the following team previews in my predicted order of finish.

1. Georgia Bulldogs - The Georgia Bulldogs return the #3 ranked defense a year ago minus only two starters. Jarvis Jones has emerged as one of the top linebackers in the country, and I expect him to terrorize offenses all season long. The offensive side of the ball is also pretty solid for the Dawgs. Quarterback Aaron Murray has improved more and more through experience, and he will see all of last years targets return at WR. I predict Georgia will only lose at South Carolina, but they will still finish ahead of the Gamecocks.
2012 Projection -(11-1)

 2. Florida Gators- Mentioned in the Intro, the Florida Gators come into 2012 with a tremendous defense. The Gators return ten starters on defense and have tons of speed. The questions come in at QB with Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel fighting for the job. Traditionally teams having this issue struggle, and I see the Gators being no different. Driskel did recently suffer an injury so we shall see how it plays out. I expect to see the Gators go down against Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida State.
2012 Projection- (9-3)

3. South Carolina Gamecocks- The Gamecocks certainly have a new look for a Steve Spurrier coached team. The days of that old Florida offense are gone, and the Gamecocks play hard nosed football. Marcus Lattimore will return from a knee injury a season ago, and USC coaches say he is on track to return just fine. He will take handoffs from Connor Shaw who is also a serious ground threat. Shaw also throws the ball well, and you can look for Ace Sanders to emerge as his favorite target. Oh yea, and the defense is pretty damn good as well. I see the Cocks going limp against LSU, Florida, and at home against Arkansas.
2012 Projection- (9-3)

4. Tennessee Volunteers- The Vols return eight starters on defense, and nine on offense. The Vols of kinda lacking in pass rush, but the defensive backfield is pretty solid. The offense looks good returning QB Tyler Bray and a couple of really good wideouts in Da'Rick Rogers and Justin Hunter. Rogers has proven to be a bit of an issue off the field, but if all stays well in Tennessee the Vols could be a surprise. I see the Vols dropping four straight against Georgia, Mississippi State, Alabama, and South Carolina.
2012 Projection- (8-4)

5. Missouri Tigers- The Tigers have serious issues when it comes to proven skill position players. James Franklin is a very good young QB, but who will be there to help him out. They lost serious production at both WR and TE, plus uncertainty lingers in the backfield as well. The defense is decent but will struggle against SEC offenses. I see the Tigers losing to Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and  former Big 12 Opponent Texas A&M.
2012 Projection- (6-6)

6. Vanderbilt Commodores-  RB Zac Stacy is a stud, and they have Aaron Rodgers little brother throwing the ball. They don't have a lot going at skill positions so they will probably run a ton. You just can't be one dimensional in the SEC. With the exception of the secondary, the defense looks pretty weak. I see the Commodores losing against South Carolina, Georgia, Missouri, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Wake Forrest.
2012 Projection- (4-8)

7. Kentucky Wildcats- I am just going to keep this real short! Kentucky is lucky they have Basketball! The Wildcats may be heading in the right direction, but now is not the time. I expect losses to Louisville, Florida, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Georgia, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
2012 Projection- (3-9)

NCAA Football-SEC West Preview For 2012

This is the first NCAA Football preview of 2012, and today I will cover the SEC West. The West was a very competitive division last season as we saw three teams in the Top 5 simultaneously. This season won't be much different, but the dismissal of Tyrann Mathieu from LSU will make a big difference for the Tigers. The Honey Badgers departure will likely boost redshirt freshman Jalen Collins into a starting position. How bad will the Tigers suffer from the secondary losses. Arkansas also lost quite a bit of talent, especially at the Wide Receiver position, but they are still loaded with preseason award finalist. Then of course have Alabama, the defending National Champion. The Tide lost Trent Richardson, and seven starters on defense to the NFL. This means that these 3 teams will once again be in a fight for this very competitive SEC West. I will be back tomorrow with my preview of the SEC East. I have included the following team previews in my predicted order of finish.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide- I mentioned earlier that the Tide lost a ton of talent this offseason, especially on defense. The defensive unit will see several young players launched into starting roles, but as we know with Alabama Football, defense runs in its blood. The defense will still be solid! The Tide must also deal with the loss of Heisman Finalist Trent Richardson who is now playing for the Cleveland Browns. You can look for Eddie Lacy, and young T.J. Yeldon to occupy the backfield this season. The Tide also bring one of the best offensive lines in the country to the table. McCarron will need this line because he does not have have star receivers littering the field. The position is decent however, and I am sure that someone will emerge this season. I have the Tide finishing as the top team in the SEC West. They will go undefeated in conference play, but they will lose in Dallas against Michigan.
2012 Projection- (11-1)

2. Arkansas Razorbacks- Most people will wonder why LSU is not in this position, and I will tell you in just a minute, but for now the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Hogs return the best Quarterback in the SEC with Tyler Wilson, and possibly the best RB in Knile Davis. Davis will return after suffering a bad injury before last season and hoping to regain his elite status from 2 seasons ago. The receiving core is somewhat depleted, but still features Cobi Hamilton and TE Chris Gragg. The Arkansas defense was young last season and I expect a ton of improvement. The loss of Jake Bequette will hurt the pass rush, but I think they will have enough offense to overcome. I believe that Alabama will be the only loss.
2012 Projection- (11-1)

3. LSU Tigers- This was my number 2 team until the dismissal of Tyrann Mathieu last week. The Tigers will have to replace both Mathieu and Mo Claiborne who now plays for the Cowboys. I believe this will be just a big enough weak spot for the Tigers to drop 3 games this season. The Tigers still have the best front four in the country on defense, but that won't be enough to stop top passing attacks like Arkansas has. The Tigers will also be decent on Offense, but decent just does not cut it in the SEC. They have a soft out of conference schedule but they will suffer in SEC play. The Tigers will start off on fire before traveling to Gainesville, Florida. I expect losses to Florida, Alabama, and Arkansas.
2012 Projection- (9-3)

4. Auburn Tigers- The Tigers return a pretty nice defense, but some serious uncertainty on offense. The Tigers boast a god running game, but the uncertainty comes in the passing game. The Tigers main concern will be at QB as the Tigers still have not decided on a starter. South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, and Georgia will topple Auburn in 2012.
2012 Projection (7-5)

5. Mississippi State Bulldogs- The Bulldogs have a very weak non-conference schedule which will account for 4 victories. They lost Ballard in the backfield now playing for the Colts in the NFL, and look for La Darius Perkins take over at that spot. They do boast a nice receiving core if a Quarterback can get them the ball. The defense is pretty decent but they need elevation on the defensive line. Special Teams will also be a big question mark. The Bulldogs will fall against Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, and a road loss at Kentucky.
2012 Projection- (7-5)

6. Texas A&M Aggies- The Aggies will join a very tough SEC West which is a much stronger conference than the Big 12. The Aggies lose a big playmaker in Ryan Tannehill who now plays QB for the Miami Dolphins. The Aggies will also be making a transition in defensive schemes adjusting to a new 4-3 defense. Sophomore QB Jameill Showers will probably be the man in Aggieland, and he will be in for a tough year. I expect losses to Florida, Arkansas, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, and Mississippi State.
2012 Projection (6-6)

7. Ole Miss Rebels- The Rebels have a a new Coach, QB, and a lot of young talent, but they are only on the rise. This will be a tough year for new QB Bo Wallace and the rest of the Rebels. They lack depth at WR and in the backfield. The defense is also very questionable and will likely give up a ton of points. The Rebels will dwell at the bottom following losses to Texas, Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, and rival Mississippi State.
2012 Projection (4-8)

2012 Top Fantasy Football Picks & Sleepers DEF/PK

It's Friday, and I am back with my Top Fantasy Picks for 2012 on Defense and Special Teams. These are the picks that come late in the draft, but can make a huge impact for your team. I will also give you some sleeper picks, and some players or defenses you want to stay away from. I will be back tomorrow with my first look at NCAA Football and the SEC this season. I will talk about the impact of Tyrann Mathieu being dismissed from the LSU Football team this morning, and what it means for the rest of the SEC West. Make sure you check that out! " Here We Go"

Defense:

1. San Francisco 49ers- The 49ers come in boasting 2 of the top linebackers in the game today. Patrick Willis and Aldon Smith will continue to terrorize opposing offenses this season. This is the only defense worth jumping on in a middle round. They have a good kick return game as well which can pay off big.

2. Houston Texans- The Texans lost a couple players in the offseason, but don't expect this to make a significant difference. Wade Phillips has developed a ball hawking defense that finished 2nd in total defense during the 2011 season.

3. Seattle Seahawks- This Seattle defense does not get the praise deserved, but this defense finished in the Top 10 total defenses of 2011. I expect to see improvement in the pass rush making this defense one of the best for fantasy owners.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers- This defense does not get a lot of takeaways, but they make up for it by not giving up yardage. This is a defense that is getting older, and I expect a small decline this season.

5. Cincinnati Bengals- This defense was a sleeper that I drafted as my 2nd defense last season. I don't have to tell you that this pick paid off very nicely. The Bengals finished in the Top 10 in scoring defense, and racked up a very nice number of sacks.

Defense Sleepers:

1.Chicago Bears- They gave up big numbers last season, but they could never get off the field. You can look for serious improvement this season, and I don't even have to tell you about the kick return game.

2. Denver Broncos- The Broncos defense was the real reason for the run ending the 2011 season. Tim Tebow gets way to much credit considering it was this defense that kept him in striking distance. Dumervil and Miller are one of the top LB duos in the NFL and will anchor a solid squad in 2012.

3. Buffalo Bills- The Bills adding Mario Williams this offseason will help the pass rush a ton in 2012. They are very capable of making big plays on defense, and have a pretty solid return game.

Defense To Stay Away From:

1.San Diego Chargers- The Chargers defense is no longer the solid fantasy pick it was a few years back. They were near the bottom in sacks last season, and I expect much of the same.

2. Minnesota Vikings- Jared Allen make this defense tempting due to the large number of sacks, but you should look at the pass defense stats before you make this hasty decision. The Vikings were last in interceptions and gave up a ton of yards through the air.

3. Miami Dolphins- This is another team who used to be a fantasy must on defense. Those days are now gone as the Dolphins recovered a measly 3 fumbles last season. They just don't have playmakers!

Place Kickers:

1. Mason Crosby- Green Bay Packers- Crosby kicked 68 PAT's last season, and the Packers will score a lot of points again in 2012.

2. David Akers- San Francisco 49ers- Akers kicked 44 field goals last season coupled with 34 extra points. He is a fantasy stud at kicker.

3. Stephen Gostkowski- New England Patriots- He plays for the Patriots so he should come close to the 59 PAT's he kicked last season.

4. Dan Bailey- Dallas Cowboys- Bailey did a great job his first year in Dallas kicking 32 FG's and 39 PAT's. I expect Bailey to have an even bigger year in 2012.

5. Alex Henery- Philadelphia Eagles- Henry is a very good young kicker who had a great first season in Philly. I expect that just like Bailey, Alex Henry will have a very nice 2012.

Kicker Sleepers:

1. Nate Kaeding- San Diego Chargers- He suffered a major injury last season, but Kaeding should be ready to kick a ton of PAT's for the Chargers.

2. Mike Nugent- Cincinnati Bengals- It seems the Bengals have sleepers everywhere, and kicker is no different. He had 33 FG's and 33 PAT's last season.

3. Randy Bullock- Houston Texans- This young rookie kicker out of Texas A&M should get plenty of opportunities in Houston.

Kickers To Stay Away From:

1-3. This one I will make very easy! If they kick for the Jaguars, Colts, and Dolphins, reserve them as a last resort.

2012 Top Fantasy Football Picks & Sleepers WR/TE

I am back today with my Top Picks & Sleepers for Fantasy Football 2012. I am going to be giving my picks today in the positions of WR/TE. I will list my Top 5 picks, 3 sleepers, and 3 players to stay away from. I will conclude my Fantasy Predictions tomorrow with DEF/PK so make sure you check it out. If you have not checked out my QB/RB picks, check it out in the archive. I will start my NCAA Season off on Saturday with my Top 25 Preseason Poll and an SEC preview.

Wide Receivers:

1. Calvin Johnson- Detroit Lions- This pick is a no brainer. Megatron will pick right up where he left off in 2011. You can expect to see Johnson get tons of double coverage, but it will not matter.

2. Larry Fitzgerald- Arizona Cardinals- The QB situation in Arizona can be scary, but Fitzgerald is a true Playmaker.  He finished the 2011 season with 80 Rec, 1411 Yards, 8 TD's, and managed to put up these numbers with no stud QB. Expect the same in 2012!

3. Wes Welker- NE Patriots- Welker plays in an offense with a lot of mouths to feed, but you can expect Welker to see the ball plenty from Tom Brady. Welker saw the ball thrown his way 172 times last year, but the Patriots added Brandon Lloyd in the Offseason. He will also have Gronkowski and Hernandez to compete with for targets. I expect a small drop in production, but he is still the best pick in this spot.

4. Brandon Marshall- Chicago Bears- Marshall is reunited with Jay Cutler who he played with in Denver, and posted 3 1,000 Yard Seasons. Cutler is healthy and will be looking in his direction often. Marshall will see significant double coverage giving Rookie Alshon Jeffery several targets as well, but in the end you will see a 100 rec season for Marshall.

5.Andre Johnson- Houston Texans- Johnson spent most of last year hampered by injuries and on the sideline. I expect to see Johnson have a bounce back season and solidify himself back at the top.

Wide Receiver Sleepers:

1. Alshon Jeffery- Chicago Bears- You can expect Jeffery to get several targets due to double coverage on Brandon Marshall. Jeffery has great size and is quite a Matchup issue as well. He should go 6th or 7th rounds in most drafts.

2.Michael Floyd- Arizona Cardinals- We have a 2nd rookie in this category. Fitzgerald will get most of the coverage attention leaving Floyd ripe for a great rookie season.

3. Eric Decker- Denver Broncos- The word is Decker and Manning have already developed some great chemistry, and I expect that to show in the Regular Season. Decker will make you a very solid #2 Wide Receiver.

Wide Receivers To Stay Away From:

1. Mario Manningham-San Francisco 49ers- He finished the year big for the Giants last season, but don't always fall for the hype. The 49ers already have Moss, Crabtree, and Davis which makes Manningham the fourth option. He will not see enough targets to justify picking him before your fourth WR.

2. Vincent Jackson- Tampa Bay Bucs- Jackson was very inconsistent last season in San Diego, and that was Phillip Rivers throwing the ball. Josh Freeman is not Rivers!

3.Torrey Smith-Baltimore Ravens- Smith has a lot of stock going in to this season, but I expect to see Boldin get more targets. I expect to see Smith have right around the same stats as last season. Don't get me wrong, 850 yards and 7 TD'S isn't bad, but he is a 6th or 7th round pick at best.

Top 5 Tight Ends:

1. Jimmy Graham- New Orleans Saints- I expect to see Graham get more targets that Gronkowski in a crowded NE Receiving core. This is the only reason for the order of the top 2.

2. Rob Gronkowski- New England Patriots- Gronkowski will have a great season, but he will not match the monster year from 2011. He has so much competition with the addition of Lloyd, Gonzalez, and Fells. He will also have a healthy Aaron Hernandez to share targets with, and this makes Graham the Top Tight End.

3. Jason Witten- Dallas Cowboys-This high powered Cowboys offense will result in big numbers for Witten. He had over 900 yards in 2011, but only saw the Endzone 5 times. I suspect you will see a jump in TD's in 2012.

4. Aaron Hernandez- New England Patriots- Hernandez makes two Tight Ends in the Top 5 for New England. He is healthy, and has Tom Brady throwing the ball.

5. Antonio Gates- San Diego Chargers- If you have faith in Gates staying healthy, then he is the #3 at this position. I don't have that faith!

Tight End Sleepers:

1. Fred Davis-Washington Redskins- I expect Davis to be a top target for rookie QB RG3. They are not loaded at WR, and the running game is unpredictable.

2. Jacob Tamme- Denver Broncos- Tamme and Manning have a history, and it includes a pretty good season for Tamme in 2010. Tamme caught 67 passes for 631 yards in only 10 games.

3. Lance Kendricks- St. Louis Rams- Kendricks is a big athletic Tight End with a top of upside. You can expect him to see many targets in this new Jeff Fisher offense.

Tight Ends To Stay Away From:

1. Coby Fleener- Indianapolis Colts- Fleener is getting a lot of hype due to his connection with Andrew Luck. The two Stanford teammate's only connected 34 times in 2011, but he did see the Endzone 10 times. He is just a toss up in my book, and I don't think he is worthy of the risk.

2. Mercedes Lewis- Jacksonville Jaguars- Two words, Blaine Gabbert!

3.Dallas Clark-Tampa Bay Bucs- I think Clark has seen his best days, and now he has no Peyton Manning. He will struggle in this Bucs offense with Freeman running the show.

Back tomorrow with my Top DEF/PK Picks for 2012
